Reviews for "Megaman Power Ball Demo"

very good

needs tuneing up though ad more characters like stinkoman (anime SB) or something other than that great =)

HankChill responds:

You know, it would greatly help if you people actually EXPLAINED what kind of "tuning up" you wanted. I've tuned up this thing like you wouldn't believe, and saying "it needs tuning up" isn't going to help me solve any problems.

And no, I'm not adding any more characters, ESPECIALLY "stinkoman" (What the hell is a "stinkoman"), because not only is 22 characters enough, but I don't take requests either from anyone.

Besides, I really don't think judging this as a 3 out of 10 is very reasonable, as:
a) It's almost got a score at 4 of 5.
b) Everyone seems to like it. Why? Because a lot of work was put into it, and people enjoy it.
And finally,
c) You haven't made anything better yourself. When you can make something that's 10 times better than what I've got here, then I'll understand the low score you gave me. But until then, judge fairly.

Worth Playing!

I liked playing it for like a mini-game but it got boring fast. You have skill in making games.Make another game but this time have career mode styled thing.Where you have to beat a surtin amount a bosses and then go to wily or something.I dont know all i have to say is it was boring but a good idea.

Good idea but it needs a lot of work.

I like the idea of Megaman battle pong, but it is just to boring and there are too many things that it should have, but it doesn't. Pong is suppose to be a fast pace game, so the ball and the pattles need to go way faster. There should have been a tournament mode. Some characters have major disadvantages towards others. I hate having restart every time a match ends. If you make some of those minor changes, you might actually have a good game going.

Bottom Line:
2/5

HankChill responds:

Of course, you're entitled to your opinion, but you obviously don't understand what I was aiming at here. Pong doesn't have to be a fast pace game. In case you didn't notice, sure, the ball starts off slow, but after a minute or so the ball will get really fast, and then you need to worry about it. Some paddles are faster than others, and some are slower than others, it depends on the character you pick. And yes, some characters have an advantage over others, and for a reason; originally Story mode was in development, and normally you only started with 2 characters in Vs modes. As you play through Story mode, you unlock the characters you beat. Bass, is obviously one of the hardest characters to unlock so of course he's going to have a big advantage. I decided since I cannot release the full game due to technical issues, I would release a version where everything is unlocked, just to give people a taste of what I had in mind.

Bear in mind though, Story mode is completely different. You only play as megaman, but have the ability to use Battle Chips. Maybe I'll put an update to this sometime with that first level demo of story mode, and see how people like it. Personally, the Battle Chips twist gives it a lot more fun, but like I said, due to technical issues with the software I haven't been able to continue development.

Why do you not like restarting when the match ends? That's just dumb. What, would you like the character's health to keep on depleting and action keep on going even after one's HP is below zero? I don't think so. If you lose, you lose. Done. If you win, you wine. Done. Pick another character, and play again. It's a DEMO bud.

Besides, if you think this is only worth a 2/5, show me up and do something better.

ALMOST EVERY SINGLE TIME, the CPU got an unnecessary advantage over me bacause of that asshole crazy ball, i lost 8 times because of that.
