You're using a very overlooked genre of music and making a great Beatmania game out of it! You brought out the best part of this music...
Although I'm Christian (liberal, don't worry) and a bit uneasy about the lyrics, I really appreciate the rhythmic intensity that these bands are able to create, and the sheer chops that most of those drummers posess. You made a damn game out of just that. Bravo. Keep going.

I glad someone finally game out with a game with metal in it. I got tired of playing Taiko and DDR to a bunch of J-Pop. Excellent choices in music, maybe some Iron Maiden, Kiss, and Slayer Reigning Blood in part 2!
Props for doing so well on this IIDX clone!
First, I'm shocked at how many people are begging to make this more like DDR with arrows and colored bars. Sure, it'd be easier, but then it's not IIDX. Shocked.
Shocked further by how good it is! The learning curve gets pretty bumpy around level 6, but the original is a hell of a lot harder earlier on, so that doesn't bother me at all. Custom keys? Awesome. Music choice? Much more diverse and learned than most people would select, without becoming snooty (which I know by my roommate last year being a slight Metal snob).
Props upon Props upon Props. All I would like to see is explanation of the menu navigation on the main screen (even if you explain it in a previous iteration!) and some original backgrounds (get an artisitcally inclined friend to help out?). I'll come back tommorow and fiven this again.
