Reviews for "The Holy Sabbath"

A Christian's Review

Hey, As a Christian, I think that this is absoluteley hysterical.

I'm Currently studying Theology, majoring in Biblical Studies, with an emphasis on Biblical Languages...so I really appreciate the humour of some of the problems with types of literalist interpretation of the Bible...

Only one small Theological problem that I feel the need to nitpick on...the sacrifice that Peter was making was a Boar, which was considered to be an unclean animal. Boar would never do as a sacrifice, and neither would a human. But that isn't the point...

Oh, and the Holy Sabbath would be Friday sundown to Saturday sundown...but as far as Christians are concerned, most transform the Jewish Sabbath into the Christian's "Lord's Day"

But FUNNY! I dig it, and have passed the link around to all my mates here on Campus...I have given you good marks, as I can appreciate the joke.

Creative and Funny

This Flash movie and its sequel are great submissions, not only for their artistic quality, but for their creative and humorous content. We all know people who are so religious that they go a little overboard, condemning the tiniest things due to some biblical reference. (Such as humorous flash cartoons that skillfully satirize religion.) This series takes that common experience and blows it a hundred times larger than life, to create Peter Godly, a normally cool and friendly, religious guy who takes every word of the bible so literally that he kills, burns, maims, and enslaves for the lord, all based on obscure bible verses taken entirely out of context. Not only is the flash well done, and the content funny, but as an added bonus, viewers can sift through the reviews to find hilarious bristling remarks made by horrified zealots and bible thumpers.
