Reviews for "Deadbeat Shuffle (Daisy Chain)"

Good shit

Why's this got such a low score? It's a pretty nice little groovy jazzish jig. Loved the sound of the bass guitar, and the transition from slow, mellow acoustic to hyperactive electric riffs (programmed?), all wrapped up by a nice little solo at the end. In short, great song man; ignore the zero-bombers...

5/5 9/10

Cornilious responds:

Gotta love zero bombers...
Anyway, bass guitar is programmed (unfortunately). There are no synths or anything like that in this one, all recorded guitar tracks with some help from equalization (etc.).
Thanks for the review! I really appreciate it!

Not bad

The simplicity is what keeps me listening to this great song.

I didn't find any static in this song, but some variety of the beat would be nice; mixing it up is always a plus in my book. As others and yourself have said, vocals are a must.

Overall, though, it was a very nice piece.

Good, but lacks variation

I think that this piece stays too uniform to really keep me interested. It's a little difficult to criticise this, because it's technically sound and doesn't have any discernible faults that I can hear.

As with previous of your submissions that I have reviewed, you require more variation, just to add a further spark of life to the tune itself - possibly leading on to other avenues that you may not have explored just yet.

Cornilious responds:

Yes, yes.
Ideas for variation:
Guitar fills during the verse. (The mellow section.)
Maybe a couple of quarter to half measure drum fills during the chorus. (Where the distortion comes in.)
VOCALS (I'm really motivated to do vocals now. haha)
