The Best Song I've heard for a long, long time.
It's 3 minutes past 10 and I'm getting kind of tired, but I just felt compelled to write a review explaining quite how wonderful this Flash animation is.
Simply put, it's the best song to come out of anywhere since Coldplay released their new album. By that, I mean it gets 10 out of 10.
Graphics: Smoothly done animations, nine out of ten - only because they could've been very slightly better - the hippo's legs moving, that sort of thing. But very small points.
Style: It may be light-hearted, but it has oodles of style, as well as noodles. The song is well written, it's nice to hear that all the sounds etc. are done by yourself.
Sound: The main part of the review, what with this being a song. The chorus contains the catchiest line ever (I'm a hippo...) which I will definitely be humming for the next couple of weeks and probably beyond that. The lyrics are great, I didn't really like Roy's voice but that's the one bad thing, (I know it was speeded up) apart from that it has enough goodness to make 10/10 easily.
Humour: Crammed with little jibes and jokes, this is enough to make the most cold-hearted person laugh, and lighten up anyone's day.
Overall: A wonderful Flash submission that I simply have to add to my favourites and is among the best I've ever seen. Definitely the best song I've heard on Newgrounds. A must for all to see! Hope we see more of you in the future!
