I love the game. The only improvements at all are:
-Add more Eurobeat Soundtracks
-Add gears
-Add tachometer
-More Tracks and more Cars
With those, I would play this all freaking day man.

BEst thing since slice bread
This is absolutly the best thing, that right THING on newgrounds. Its got me hooked for hours, even the music itself is fantasic. In the next one you should keep the same physics and not complicate things. It's what made this great, the simplicity yet funness of the game. You should also add the WRX and maybe a Racing mode againest others. Possibly even more tracks. Still great game altogether. Keep up the good work
I love this game, mainly because it reminds me of a Net Yaroze-title called Hover Car Racing which I used to play the ever-living crap out of as a kid. I really liked the song as well, I remember I would sometimes come here just to listen to it - this was of course before I found out how to acquire music digitally. Come to think of it, this game was actually a big part of my younger years, it introduced me to both Initial D and Eurobeat. And it's partly responsible for all the other hours I spent on Newgrounds as a kid - I didn't know how to use bookmarks, so if I lost the post-it note with the URL on it, I had to scroll through pages upon pages trying to find whatever I was looking for again - time well spent.
I realize that this review has a rather subjective, nostalgia-driven view... So, objectively, this game is not a masterpiece. I think that if I discovered it today I would probably say something along the lines of "this looks familiar, I'm gonna go play Hover Car Racing instead".
In conclusion, I'm thankful that I discovered this gem, or rather diamond in the rough, almost a decade and a half ago. It has nostalgia written all over it, and in my book that's a solid 5/5 - my initial score was 4.5/5, but it seems that nostalgia adds half a star.
P.S. I'm really thankful we can edit reviews now! When I began writing this review I was determined to remove the old one because it made me wince, but after this turned out to be a tiny trip down memory lane, I see no other option but to let it stay, it deserves to, for old times' sake.
