when i used the actionscript for platformers in MX 2004 the player goes throught the floor! A solution to this prob would be nice. Thnx.

Hey that's good stuff. You certainly had it right when you said it's better than most other people's retarded ones.
There is one thing though, in the "Difference between buttons and movie clips" section you say that the HIT keyframe in the button symbol shows after the button's action is performed.. That's actually what decides the clickable area of your button so you should put a filled shape over the part of your button that you want clickable.

that realy is an awesome tutorial, its so different to the usual mistake riddled crap that people copy and paste into their own tutorials. :D keep up the good work

You must first know AS yourself in order to begin toteach people. Seriously this isnt very good and wont help people nderstand how AS works and how to develope there knowlage
If anyone does want to learn AS and are reading this then use the search bar in the BBS (flash forum) to find AS:Main and also AS:Beginning (by me) is excellent for starting out

your reference is probably a good idea. My tutorial is if u just want to learn it quickly. Goto the AS: MAin thing if u actually want to learn AS.
