Nice arcade style, very retro, retro is good!
Well scripted, good graphics, worked fluently and it's just totaly cool, well i just like games like this, but thats my opinion.
It might not get a very high score due to how many of these have been made, but i hope it gets through.

Yeah I know retro is awesome! Thats why I didnt upgrade the graphics or any of that other stuff. I was shooting for gameplay over graphics and stuff..
Cliched and simple.
If your going to remake this game for the millionth time on NG then you should put in something to make it stand out. The most recent succesful version had a paddle that rotated left and right- simple but effective. Another had slow motion. My favourite (not on NG) is one where little gnomes pop out of the block and throuw pots at you which you avoid. Genious!
So this isn't a bad game at all, now that you've made the engine I hope you go away and add something exciting to it (as well as multiple levels and power ups)
Well why destory such an original game with silly little power-ups and all? I think its perfect as it is ;) (but it may need more levels)

there's no fucking ending ! you only have one level, the speed of the ball allways remains the same and than i think there's a few other glitches that many people wont notice so i won't mention them. Finish this games, add more levels, make an ending, and i'll stop giving you zero's for this
Uhh yeah there two endings. 1 if you die and the other if you win moron... And the speed of the ball being the same isnt a glitch.. My math isnt too grand in flash and I didnt want to fuck it all up.. And I'm pretty sure there are no more glitches ;)
Nice, but something's missing...
I really like the breakout-style games, and eventho' the arkanoid is one of the oldest games of the "genre", it really is kinda too old today.
The game speed is bit too slow, it could be nice if the ball could gain more speed after each contact with the paddle. Also some power ups would be nice, like multiball, fast/slow motion, larger paddle...
overall nice game, pretty good actionscripting, and good way to ease nostalgic feelings

Ooh so I shouldnt be congradulated on several hours of typing code and drawing graphics just because I didnt think of idea? Shame...
