Reviews for "Moonlight Shadow"

((( DECENT )))

Its really nice that you made this for your mother, and how much effort you put into it, i liked the way you made a video to go with the sound. The music was ok not my style, but it went nice with this, the way you drew some of your characters was good, i liked the way you drew the girl the most, and the heaven scene at the end was really well done...

~X~

i didnt watch because i know im going to cry

i have heard the song and i tell you i cried like there is no fucking tomorrow

Great Flash

I loved the music and the animation style of your flash, though I agree with Cosmic_Bard that the song doesn't require a fight scene. Yet I understand that you adapted your own interpretation of the song. I'm going to add you to my authors list so I can see more of your work so keep it up.

P.S. My condolences to you mother. I lost mine in 2002

Wow, you missed the point, dude.

Ready for a critical review? Here we go.

I really think you missed the feeling of this song. "Moonlight Shadow"'s more or less supposed to be a sombre (at least for the song's genre) feeling song... not overly so, but I don't think a melee fight scene was totally necessary... you could have gone a very artisitc route with this, but instead you tried to appeal to lower audience by adding that poorly choreographed fight scene.

Also, I'm sick of people beating me over the head with "DDR this" and "DDR that." The song's title is "Moonlight Shadow - Missing Heart" Missing heart is a fairly decent euro team, whose lead singer was also in E-Rotic. The song was indeed *featured* in DDR5th but is in no way the only incarnation of said song. It was PUT onto Dance Dance Revolution *because* it was popular, not popular through the other way around.

Also, I'm sorry for the loss of your mother.... maybe you'll see her in heaven, one day.

parasite-hill responds:

Now just to make it clear, this was not a direct adaptation of the tone or meaning of the song. It's just what I thought of when listening to it and what I thought would flow in a flash as far as a storyline. The original moonlight shadow was written by Mike Oldfield and voiced by Maggie Reilly. And yes was a more or less depressing song who people speculate could have been a tribute to John Lennon. Since there is no direct meaning or at least to my knowledge (yes I have looked) i figured I'd derive my own meaning. Which isn't meant to be overly serious except maybe in the ending. So it really doesn't have much to do with DDR except, that the song was off the soundtrack and sounded a lot better than the slower paced original. Thank you for your mature criticism though. I really appreciate it in contrast to "what is this crap". =D

i love it

i really like the flash.
i copyd it to my desktop.

also condolenced with the dead of your mother
