Reviews for "Lucifer"

Gasp

This was dull... sorry to say so.

Whenever it comes to anything that does have something with religion it has to be made good, this wasn't.

And why do people always think of Lucifer as evil, there's nothing to state the fact (Just mentioning it ^^)

Another Boring Flash

I'd like to ask one question "What the hell?" I don't mind stick animations, in fact I think they are a good thing if you want to concentrate on developing other aspects of your work, such as more detailed backrounds, or if you want to make a quick flash to convey your point of veiw on a matter that will soon be forgotten. But one thing I do expect from stick flashes is that (at least) the stick figures look like they are actually moving! In this flash when you had the devil walking and a front veiw of him he looked like he was just moving his shoulders in some sort of perverse dance. Then ,even worse, was the fight between God and Lucifer you got no feel of gravity or force when one of them was hit. You felt no stuggle (on Lucifer's part) When he tried to block that huge thunderball or whatever it was, and as for the backrounds, they sucked as well there was no detail, and as I think someone else has said before me there was no art. That's what you really need in a flash it's what makes it beutifull when it's no just some thrown-together cartoon but it's actually art.
Having said this I've seen first flashes that were at lot worse so I suppose you'll just have to work at it.

suprisingly good

I was suprised at how good it was. You mentioned it was your first flash, so my expectations weren't high, but I thought you did very well for your experience. The part where Satan was being banished to hell was downright good. It was extremely expressive and it set the tone very well. That said, I think it would have been improved if it had more of a point. Satan taking over heaven is all well and good, but it was just an armies clashing sort of thing. For this to really work you either need better action, or a better plot. I think you have real potential for either and just need to work at it and keep practicing.

Oh, and as far as the concept goes, I was a little bugged that Satan ended up winning. Not that I'm a serious Christian- quite the contrary. I just think it ended badly. For one, it would add to Satan's depressing wretched/downcast thing he had going on. It also makes it seem unklikely and insignificant that Satan was ever thrown down in the first place. Why didn't he whup God in the beginning?
I hope to see more of your work in the future.

IMO

An ok use of flash, one thing that could improve is character design and detail (yes I know they are sticks, but some shadows and shading on wings would have been nice.) I wasn't very impressed with how you designed God (just my opinion, he didn't seem very supreme being so much as random confused giant standing around in heaven with cottonballs glued to his face.) Another thing I think that would have made this flash better is to keep the stick figures but make backgrounds more detailed, this adds more to the style factor and shows off the difference between "Thats how its supposed to be... Its art." as opposed to "thats how it is because I'm a lazy artist" and the last thing is to improve how smooth and fluid the movements are. These things will turn your flash from "good flash" to "great flash." Other than that it was a good flash.

I thought it was pretty good

I happened to like the bg music. I also liked the story, tho i have to say 3 hail marys for watching it lol. The only thing that was boring was the long scenes just watching lucifer walk. This movie should have been shorter than it was.
