Reviews for "End of Nightmares"

Could be improved...

This is very well done, but it could be refined. It seems too easy to get hit, and the special moves aren't worth doing. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it.

gavD responds:

Thanks AlphaDavenport

The specials need careful timing, but I see what you mean

Good, but not as good as 'Take to the Streets'

The gameplay here could need work, IMO. When you're surrounded by enemies, and you get knocked down, you're in real trouble, because it's hard get back up and defend yourself. As soon as you're on your feet again, the enemies immediately beat you down again. Part of the problem is that your character attacks too slow. Oftentimes, when you try to punch an enemy, he just gets you first. The levels are a bit short, too.

But what I like about this game are the designs of the levels and characters as well as the plot. It shows that you've putten a lot of creativity into it.

3/5

gavD responds:

We were going for something a little different to TTTS here. The way to beat the game is to keep running and jumping rather than slugging it out with fast attacks like Take to the Streets - End of Nightmares is all about maneouverability

Thanks for the review!

Good game

Pretty good. Do a sequel and put in weapons and more bosses and enemies. It'd be ace then! Also get more special moves and get powerups. (x2 attack, slow time, move faster, etc.)

gavD responds:

Some good ideas for powerups there! No direct sequel is planned at this time, though I have just finished another game with the same artist.

(title in work)

^^Good Points^^
This game was somewhat entertaining to me. The graphics were fun. They were very well detailed and nicely animated, which made game play more fun. This also had decent game play that was easy to get into.

^^Needs Improving^^
One thing that really bothered me was that you pretty much had to be right up against the right side of the screen in order to move forward, which made defending against new bots pretty hard.

hard..

way to hard!
