A little strange.

Why were they fighting? Why did the monk kill himself?

This is good for something you did in 3 days, but try putting even more time into it. The best works on this site are sometimes worked on for months. You could have used more frames to make the movement look fluid.

Also, people don't fight like that, standing straight up in one place. Their legs are more apart and they move with their entire bodies to attack. Which is much harder to draw, of course, but it looks fake otherwise.

And I think these stylized sword strikes are usually thinner, curved lines.

They were fighting because the samurai wanted to kill the monk for an unknown reason, and the monk killed himself because he could not live knowing that he had killed another man..
P.S. this is my second not-very-crappy flash movie and I really can't animate that well yet but I'll try harder next time..

not too bad

i gota admit that you can draw really good, but unfortunatley all the "fight" flashes got a little boring , besides it had little motion adn even less plot. Put in the effort of making three such flashes into one flash, and you'll have a hit ^^

why did the monk kill himself?

i was expecting a little more from a title like that but it was OK (except for the monk killing himself at the end that pissed me off)
