Well done in every aspect of a story
I liked this flash work a lot. It had everything that a solid beginning, middle and an end requires in order to both entertain and inspire the imagination of the viewer. I especially liked how the girl lived happily as a tree and just wanted to be shy around the man because she had no reason to dislike him. It was only when the man hurt her did she actually fight back and give him her kind of retribution.
I also like how your title and bit of the story don't give the ending away. As far as the viewer knows, anything can cause the clams to appear in the water around the small island. In this case, the ending is quite shocking because there is no previous indication that the crualty of man towards nature is what causes it to happen.
All in all good show. This made my list of favourite flash works and I hope you continue to contribute to Newgrounds.
