Reviews for "TBS: Not Funny"

So true

It wasn't as funny as I was hoping but it wasn't horrible either. The beginning was the best part (the 'Smalls Like Teen Spirit" edit). The rest was more 'eh' than 'haha'. I like the "I'm alive I can make free choices" thing also. Go ahead and give a small chuckle, your movie was sorta funny.

LordLothlorien responds:

Heh heh. That last comment was clever.

I hereby bestow upon the author a high five

Mr. Turner's Broadcasting Station is like a programming graveyard, collecting popular movies as well as shows from other networks and bureaucratically forcing them into a rigid mold like beef jerky. It forces one to wonder what kind of society we live in when such an unoriginal idiot can become enormously wealthy.

LordLothlorien responds:

I agree. What the hell is up with that?

TBS: VERY STUPID

Finally, someone to set things straight.
Even the guys at the other Turner Networks (CNN, Cartoon Network, TNT, etc.) have stated TBS sucks.

The ironic thing, the do this lame "Very Funny" campaign even when they air dramatic or scary movies.

I also was watching The Matrix on TBS. They edited out any part of the movie that involved Spoon Kid. Now that is just pathetic. Watching The Matrix without Spoon Kid is like watching Star Wars without droids.

What is Old Ted Turner doing with that network? Did he let Jane Fonda run programming?

Sound gets a 3. Tori Amos singing Nirvana is wrong.

LordLothlorien responds:

"HA HA HA!" at the Tori Amos comment. Funny stuff.

Don't watch TBS

Because of the censorship, some of the best movies ever made are reduced to nothing. Little Nicky was an hour long with commercials. Half of Blue Streak was dubbed over. And The Matrix... one of the greatest movies ever was BUTCHERED. The Lobby Shootout had no blood and was less than a minute; Neo said poop over and over again; and They cut out the scene where the kid said "There is no spoon", so no-one understood it when Neo said it on the elevator. Oh well. Very good submission. GJ

LordLothlorien responds:

Good point. In retrospect, I wish we would have gone into TBS cutting scenes for the sole purpose of making more commercial time. Is it just me or does TBS have WAY too many commercials? Maybe TBS can't charge too much for spots anymore because rating are down? After all, people don't like watching butchered programs.

Nice Parody

The TBS commercials are annoying and you did a nice parody of them. The only flaw with the movie really was the sound which, at times really did not match up with the mouth movements. It was a nice blend of humor and truth, which is good. I especially liked the ad in the credits. Keep it up!

LordLothlorien responds:

I had some problems with the streaming, but since a year has passed, I've figured out what went wrong and will adjust it in our next animation. I'm glad you liked the ad at the end - you're the first person to mention it! It was sort of a last minute thing.
