I really liked the song, but, since it isn't truly your original idea I can't give you higher than a 7 for your work to remake it.

One thing I am going to re-iterate is that your piece does sound like it does repeat 3 times over. One thing you can do is work more into, that seemed to be what the tutorial video seemed to do as well.
