Make more enemies! and make sure that the items are useful.

This game lacks something called Originality. Look at other submissions to the portal, and try to make something new and refreshing. Then it often doesn't matter that you aren't a flash demigod. If someone plays this they'll only think "Oh, but I can play [insert game name here] instead", especially if you have made a Mario game.
