boring, yet fundamental
I didn't like it until the last part where the message shows up. That is quite fundamental, but it seems misplaced. You probably should have put the message in after the cell phone falls, but before you say "Shit!" because that could have raised the amount of care the viewer would have for the phone, and they could possibly value it as a person, instead of an object.
