Reviews for "Astray"

Lets see...

At first I was like holy crap! Where's the blam button... however... after letting it run for awhile felt that there was a pleasant yet creepy style to it. Anyway you were able to catch my interest right at the last minute and blew my mind with that ending

****SPOILER****

Was the whole flash suppose to be a dream the kid was having? Or was the kid lke upducted in the house and put into that thing? Basically what is the real story!?!? Great flash (5 for the vote, 8 for the reviews)

Bill responds:

Theres a series coming, with more speech involved so stay tuned.

nice

i totally expected that ending lol... well the mood was great and the song went along really well... nicely done! moral: never try to get your red ball when it rolls down the hill into a house or you'll die

Bill responds:

Morals are always good.

Boring

This was kinda tedious to watch. I understand the style but the animation did feel a little too disjointed. The various things didn't move in conjunction with each other. The music was good though and I see how the point was supposed to be serenity in contrast with horror.

Bill responds:

Yeah I know, the movie didn't come out as I wanted.

Nice

Hmmm, i suddenly have the urge to take up smoking..... j/k

It was nice. The music choice was okay. The latter violin part, when he walks into the house, didn't seem to fit well with what i was watching. I think you could dig into the music layers and remove it, the music would sound better.

The way you turned the "camers" angle from front to back when he followed the ball also seemed weird. The flow of animation for it, that is. Maybe just because i haven't seen something like that in a while.

The visual effects on the sphere with the thoughts in could be improved. The grey isn't too appealing.

Bill responds:

<3, Great advice, thank you Tom.

Not bad.

I think you should make the music higher quality. Requiem for a Dream has a beautiful score and the sound of it here was too tinny.

An even better song to use here would be Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings".

You should try to rework the walking animation. The lines are boiling a lot.

Bill responds:

Yeah, I know I tend to use to many frames in Frame By Frame animation, but I like the look of it.
