*looks around again* Ok, wait, nobody bothered with a real review o.o.........ok fine, I'll push my lazy ass to do something here.
First off, the beginning of this piece builds up quickly and really gets you ready to listen to the rest, reminds me of the early days of Warcraft (and NO I am NOT talking about WoW >.> dunno if all you people have forgotten but there WAS A TIME BEFORE THAT MMO...garsh). Ok, where was I....ah yes...review...ahem *cough*.
It was a enjoyable song up to 00:25 where this voice came in. It was a "ok, what the hell" moment. Wasn't really expecting lyrics for a song that started out as a "epic (the word how it USED to be used) classical pre-battle theme". But ok, I'll listen...and I listened....and I listened....and then it stopped o.o. Started again, and I listened again and again x.x. Well okay, I am listening to it while writing this, but ignore that ^^. Ok, the lyrics started and they fit in surprisingly well with the background of this piece. The voice was pretty much perfect and the story flowed nicely. The buildups in this piece and the flow of emotion brought about, not just by the voice, was quite something. It makes a person want to rewind and listen to certain areas again. Compression was good, nothing was really too loud which is surprising since something is normally whistling to all hell, especially in pieces where there is voice. The ending turned me off a little bit, nothing horribly unpleasant, but it just felt much more random then the rest of the song and the voice just..kinda...felt off x.x. Course then he was all out of breathe and that brought me back XD.
It is a very good song - the way you brought a story to a commercial star of all people is really quite amusing. Whether they are your lyrics or not doesn't really matter in this case because pretty much any part of the song screams of skill.
Very well done indeed,
