Reviews for "B R E A K I T"

Wow.

This is the best flash game ever made. Really. I despise most of these games, mainly because I can always think of something I'd rather be playing, but this even rivals Ricochet. My one complaint (other than the multiball glitch) is that the ball can pass right between two of them at an angle. Kind of weird.
Also, you might add variety to powerups, though I doubt you're going to want to go back and change this game. But I loved the way you added the ability to control how the ball flies by which way you're moving the paddle. Very innovative.

Atari Flashback...WOW!!!

Thanks for making a fun game. It brought back some good 'pong' memories for me. I can see that you put in a lot of time on this one. It will go into my favorites. Nice going!

Very Nice!

I typically don't like this old classic, but you added a lot of things that made it more fun for me. I didn't get too far, but I think my favorite addition is the powerup that allows the bumper to shoot the blocks. That and the fact that the bumper tilts so you can aim your shots better make this version a LOT less boring than all the others.

Very professional-looking overall, great job!

nooo!

Died finally Stage 18, 188450 1st try, what a heartbreak.

Though the concept is unoriginal, the execution is far from it. I've never seen a breakout type game with such smooth response on the mouse, especially for flash. Also, everything falls with acceleration rather than just velocity, including those extra points, making it much more fun than the original; this is hardly anything "shameless". I still found my self screaming "nooo!" when I accidentally picked up the shortening powerup.

There are a couple bugs with the mouse click mode, where some blocks won't register regardless of color. Also, the hit detection of the ball - paddle is really generous, which makes the skill level of managing 3 balls, collecting numbers, and shooting at the same time much easier.

And most importantly, you can control where the ball goes based on the mouse movement and paddle angle, not just location on the paddle of where the ball hit like what normally happens. Everything was aesthetically pleasing, including the notes C E F and *ping* sounds. Of course, every level ends on an F.

Some background music would be nice, but otherwise a solid game, that I would definately play again if I didn't have to study for 2 finals.

Excellent

I think this is the most underrated game on newgrounds. Why isn't it famous?
