Reviews for "counting bodies/neocon"

Well...

On a flash submission I enjoy the quality and animation style of your work. But I realy don't like your message. This is me, but I'm guessing that you are a Kerry supporter. And that is fine with me, but George bush is not that evil. But, that's my opinon about how the flash made me feel (yes I support Bush). But I took and voted on the submisson base on the quality of it and not against what I feel. Would love to maybe hear a responce back.

outsiderzero responds:

thanks for being objective about it. i've made several other anti bush flash movies that people have condemned as "liberal propanda bullshit" (even though i backed up all of my statements with concrete facts). again, thanks for voting on the quality over the message.

Not bad.

I think it's message is quite a bit extreme, though I would love to see a giant elephant walker of destruction lol, but whatever. The music and style were both executed well. Keep up the good work.

It's a cool abstract concept

But the inclusion of Bush and other conservative figures cheapens it.

And if you think Bush is a neocon, you're DUMB!

hmmm...I think I know where you are coming from...

Normally artists aren't as blatent as that when putting forth their views. politically. I think that this film is more propaganda than it is art.

Therefore I dislike your film because art and politics should NEVER be mixed. And in the rare case that they are done so in a good way, the symbolism is just that: symbolism. it should not be outright and obvious.

Ever heard of allegory?

Pretty Decent as a flash itself, but...

The animation, music, and other basics are pretty decent. The references to 1984 are incorporated nicely.

However, as a political message it just comes across as a bit cliché. The blatant bush-bashing that you see in the movie is just about everywhere else, and that overshadows the quality of the rest of the movie. A more subtle message would help the movie greatly.
