Well, nice idea in theory
This is a good idea, but, it's definately lacking.
Things I would have liked to have seen would have been some sort of time-lapse effect so the relation of hours as seconds would have been more believable. Moreover, I would have liked the butterflies to have actually moved like butterflies. Take a handy-cam out to a feild in the mid-spring and get a motion study for yourself.
The BIG problem is that, well, there's no impact. Your message was so vauge that you had to explain it at the end. In fact, you explained a lot of things; such as the second butterfly needing help to escape the cacoon. In all honesty, I figgured it was just going to be a hungry bird.
Find a way to say your message without telling us and you'll have a much stronger piece.
