Fated?
Perhaps this was fated to be boring, dull and extremely immature. It'd be nice to actually listen to a philosophical conversation without having to see a poorly animated truck smash one of the characters into oblivion. Rule of Thumb: Do not try to mix intellect with blindingly stupid humor. It destroys any meaning you're trying to convey and leaves no comedic effect at all.
