Oh...uh?

Lovely graphics and animation, but the whole scenario was a tad on the cliche side. Yes, robots don't have feelings. How sad. Although we could note that there MIGHT be a possibility that the robot cannot feel sad that it does not have feelings.

And as for me...yes, I've been upset all week that I cannot process these equations at optimal efficiency. Blast, another inequality! Curse my human brain! The computer's where it's at!

There MIGHT indeed be that possibility... the larger issue, I believe, is why does the robot feel sad and empty regarding his lack of emotion...

Like many people I've known (especially in the "hospital") the robot thinks he is "numb" or "empty" when in fact he is quite sad and in a lot of pain...
...but like I've said "robots aren't supposed to have emotions."
So he believes that he does not. A slave to to an ideal? Maybe... I'm too drunk to think more about that right now.

And yes, computers, when programmed to do something properly, do make things much more efficient. However they will never (I should hope) create our most stirring music and art, those things come from something that can not be defined by an equation.

Very moving

I find this a very deep poem about hate for oneself.
