The hitting of heads with mallets warms my heart
This is pure comic genius! You got the randomness/storyline ratio just right- there's enough randomness for it to be funny and just enough of a storyline so that it's not just crappy isolated events and people talking shit like the Ingus series has turned into.
You have to make a sequel, maybe you could use the beginning of Kill Bill for your inspiration- O'Reilly is in a coma being prostituted by one of the medical staff for months/years/whatever, then he wakes up and kills everyone.... Or whatever, as long as you include that last bit, that works well.
