Reviews for "Mario 64|Metal Cap SE|Hardcore"

Good

It's good, I think this remix is better then the orginal, but since it's not an orginal the Originality score takes a nose dive. Overall it's very good, it could use something else though. (PS: I'm a tough critic when it comes to music, it is VERY hard to get music I find that is outstanding).

HouseMasta responds:

not an original? did you even listen to the whole song? plus, this is the VG portal - remixing game music is what its all about

Descent

It takes a while for the song to get better, since it's so soft. But it's still good.

HouseMasta responds:

whateva

pretty good

I really enjoyed the middle, but I really didn't like the end of it...

This brings me back

Back to the pirate ship you have uprise from the depths of the water. The painting is next to all these fish in the fish tanks only people with the game will know that level.

At the speed of meh... (please read entire post)

Did you even use the original Metal Cap song in the remix? I really don't think hard-core is the term you're looking for, it's too slow for that title really, plus it seems to be more of a chilling style music if you called it "Invisible Cap SE- Chilling" instead of "Metal Cap SE- Hardcore" I might have gave it an eight or a nine. Granted some parts equaled the original in speed or surpasses it for a few seconds but it really sound like someone turned up the RPM on a record player. The original instilled a since of "run as fast as you can into as many enemies as possible crushing them under your might" and not "please take you time, there's no hurry. We have some cake in the lounge if you would like some." Really this is an identity crisis, you placed gave me an expectation of exploding busses but what I got was a beanbag chair and Cheetos. You may have found yourself in the wrong crosshairs because when I hear the word hardcore things like Predator, Quake, Unreal, and so on come to mind so I was expecting face basing music.

If I had never heard of Mario or played the games (or at least Super Mario 64) I might have gave this a higher rating. It's a good song but when you attach certain titles expect some flack especially if you decide to seeming throw out the original song in favor of a new angle of it.

HouseMasta responds:

how does the title make the song bad?
