Reviews for "Space Hero"

I say...

Yes, I do clearly hear lots of influences from other movies, but I don't deem that an inherently bad thing. In this case, it works rather well, even though at times it almost gets too overwhelming. But, to put it in this way: I am very picky when it comes to adding people as favorites, and you have just become the third ever. I'd dare say that counts for something. I enjoyed your work with all senses, and I will undoubtable listen to this piece until my ears bleed.

Keep up the earbleedin'... err, good work, rather.

sadlersongs responds:

Thanks man!

WTF DUDE ?!

Who the hell are you !?!? This is fantastic man. You rarely hear quality like this come out of newgrounds. I could hear this in a movie. I don't give 10/10's very often man. But you deserve it. The quality of your patches is amazing, the composition is brilliant, and it's got a real epic sound to it. There's so much power in this track man. Jesus christ this is gorgeous. Thank you for this submission man. This is pure art.
I've got to ask, what orchestral patches are you using ?

sadlersongs responds:

I use the EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold XP. I really need to put that on my profile so everyone can see!

Man, seriously

I usually don't write reviews for some artists but, you really deserve this
Your song is so fuck'n great!!!!!! And, if I chose this one to some movie maybe, could I use it?

Movie Influences I heard...

These are the sources I definitly recognized:

Back to the Future, Star Trek, Independence Day, Batman, Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 Bowers Battles/Sonic Unleashed opening, Spider-man, a John Williams transition, Predator, and Men in Black.

From 3:00 to 3:12 I can't quite figure out where it's from. It's so close it's on the tip of my tounge, but no go.

Gotta say, though, as an original piece, this was by far the coolest sci-fi theme I've heard in a while.
My favorite part is near the end after the John Williams transition. It reprises all the influences musically one after another until the end.
:D

Please let me know if I'm anywhere near correct or way off base. I like hunting for musical influences :D
