Reviews for "Okami Amaterasu"

really great! too bad capcom does stuff like rererereleases. I played the PS2 and the Wii Version, I can do the brushes quickly with the wii version, so that's the one I usually recommend.

DeliciousOrange responds:

While I agree that the Wii's controller is spectacular for drawing brushstrokes on the screen, I find it really distasteful that Capcom had the original credits removed from the game and no credit given to the original game's creators.

such a lovely woman it makes me want to pick up Okami and play the game, seeing as how I've never played it before.

DeliciousOrange responds:

I whole-heartedly recommend the ps2 version. I personally don't approve of Capcom's behavior or treatment of the original developers so I don't encourage people to buy any of the remakes, but to their credit the remakes are mostly faithful to the original title and none the less excellent titles.

Hey, Ami! Where's the rosary? I thought we had a deal- I give you the neat blue ice one, and you killed every bird that got near my house with a machine gun rosary barrage!

Anyways, nice art, but I don't really feel that the face suits her well. The smile/lips just seem wrong, along with the weird bust. However, don't see much else. Good work.

DeliciousOrange responds:

The Celestial Mirror is much more iconic in my eyes, both for the game and the mythology. She's also quite barrel-chested in the game, but nobody seems ever think of that since she walks on all fours. As for the expression, it is rather unlike Ammaterasu to be domineering or proud, but let's just say it was to suit my personal tastes.

*whistles*duuude i'd pray to that

DeliciousOrange responds:

Praise the sun!

You magnificent bastard! That's one hell of a picture, nicely done. Love the lips.

DeliciousOrange responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Lips are one of the features I find the most difficult to draw.
