Reviews for "Metroid: Rogue Formula"

It reminded me of South Park.

It was all right couldve been better. When Samus moved she moved like someone from South Park. Anyways, I hope the sequel is better.

ok thanks for the review ;)

ehh...

i think there was a little too much effort on the author's part - great story line, creative use of some sprites, but i think it fell a little short in areas.

first off, i may be a bit of a purist, but i don't remember samus ever getting a fucking shotgun. nor do i remember shotguns ever posessing the ability to cause non-inflammable objects to a splode.

secondly, the sprites looked like shit, mostly because of their large size. sprites are small for a reason, keep them that way.

consistancy-wise, you can't very well have crappy flash samus right next frams of rounded off, -photoshop samus. pick a style and stay with it.

samus killed a whole 3 things. unrealistic for metroid anything. the name "metroid" itself kills at least 20 people per day. seriously.

all in all, however, these CAN be done in smaller resolution and still convey text-based story - try the arcade font next time.

cap123 responds:

ok so you're putting me down because of how YOU feel metroids movies should be, and the fact that i gave samus some cool new weapons? You're taking your games too seriously mate.

All the same, thanks for taking the time to write this. I appreciate it no matter how this reply may sound ;)

WOWWWWW!!! this was a nice movie

The author did a hell of a job on this. He made the graphics exactly how it is on the games.(hand held) I like the idea and thought the author put in this. Absoulutely a 10

cap123 responds:

haha, i'm glad you liked it :)

WOW............

wow.good.You took sprites to an all new level. You made the sprite poses move and sway, very good. I give it a hundred......out of ten.
^-^

cap123 responds:

lol thanks :D

nice work.

It's cool that you use Goldwave. I've been using that program since 1997 I think. It's one of the greatest sound programs that I have ever used. I was hoping for a short resolution following the last death. Something that would tell me that everything was alright within the story. Good use of sound!

cap123 responds:

thanks, it's nice to get a postive review from an accomplished flash artist ;)

Goldwave > all
