ahem

mebe you did, mebe you didnt,
you got that from my anhimation

nice animating by the way

not cool

(before I begin to berate you, that song kicks ass)

No, dude, not cool, yes emo is annoying, especially the people who do emo music you have good lives with rabid fans and record deals.

I've never heard that song.

I've had it quoted at me (“the dreams in which I’m dying / are the best I’ve ever had”), but I've never heard it. Thanks for that, at least.

Now, on to the subject...plot...? If this is meant to be saying how suicides haven't got any real problems, you failed. All we see is a person feeling badly, and slitting his wrist, and dying very suddenly from a rather minor wound.

Do you really have no clue what depression is about or what suicide is usually about? I hate to break it to you, but while you might be able to think that someone else's problems are not that bad, that doesn't mean they are in healthy enough state of mind to see things the same way! Yes, shit happens, but when somebody feels depressed--including loneliness, hopelessness, helplessness, and despair--said "shit" can truly seem to be the only thing in their life. Depression causes one to lose interest in anything "fun", to withdraw from family, friends, and other supportive relationships, and to feel very lethargic. Depressed folks possess self-defeating beliefs (“I'm worthless, I can't do anything to help myself, nobody likes me”). They tend to blame any failures directly on themselves. They think that bad circumstances will ALWAYS exist, will affect EVERYTHING they do from that point on, and that it's indicative that there's something wrong with THEM as a person.

If you've ever been depressed--even if it was temporary, or not very severe--you could understand that someone who is depressed and suicidal probably isn't thinking very rationally. If you want to help someone realize there's hope in life, don't call them "idiots" and don't trivialize their pain. If you can't be arsed to treat them with respect and try to help them see rationally again, then tell them to go see a professional who CAN help.

I'm not advocating suicide. I'm asking that we all be a little bit more compassionate for our fellow humans.

Any questions, comments, or rebuttals? I think my AIM is in my profile. Just let me know who you are and why you're messaging me.

Ant-tastic responds:

I actually agree with you on several points here Nonesuch. Congrats. Suicide is never the answer. When animating this video, I was under a certain sort of hateful influence. I realized that all adolescents these days seem to be griping about their problems, when usually it's nothing to sob about. I've been in the pits, so I've learned such experiences first hand. Depression can lead you down deep holes, and it finds it's own way to constantly dig you deeper. But maybe one day someone will stop digging, wake up and smell the fucking roses. Eventually they'll realize that they were blowing all this out of proportion. Anyway, I feel that I can't state all of my opinions here. My msn is kissme_imshitfaced@hotmail.com. If you're reading this, please add me. You seemingly being the most intelligent person to review my video, I believe that we have much discussion in order.

interesting theory

so... if my best friend's younger brother and mother both die in a car accident (his dad died a few years ago), and he was the one who was driving, and he only suffered a crushed leg and hip, and he feels so bad about it that he kills himself, 3 days before my birthday no less, then I shouldn't worry about it because shit happens!! well guess what, YOU NEED TO SHUT THE FUCK UP!!@!@!!!! yes some people do make a huge deal out of something stupid, but this video wasn't even about that. it was about some dumbass who got tired of the mindless drivle of everday so he killed himself. so if that is what you wanted to say then find a better way of saying it because this was just fucking offensive asshole. if that was what u wanted to do then you should have done it with somethin like don't sweat the small stuff I've never read that book but iv'e heard it;s really good. so next time you feel like sendin this message,......DON"T!!!! you asshole!@!!!

(sry about this,,, I just needed to vent. his funeral was today and I just, i[m sorry about all this.

------Jack

ps- sorry about my typing on this, I just was going really fast for me.

Ant-tastic responds:

Of course you'll be hurting and in an evidently negative mood after such an event takes place, this is inevitable and I don't blame you for it. So I can't blame you for typing such a rant, no need to apologize. Even if you're feeling like shit right now, things will look up in due time. People really seem to have misunderstood the intent of my video. I meant to say that suicide is never the answer, and because of that, things will always look up eventually. Well, it seems I failed at getting my point across.

MISSING PLOT FOUND

Oh, I get it. The guy sees his reflection in the water, steps on his face by accident, feels bad about it and kills himself... wait.. no..

Okay lemme try this again,

He sees that his shoe is untied, but when he goes to reach for his automatic shoe tying machine, he accidently grabs the knife blade by mistake, bleeds to death, then gets put in an open grave covered by a table-cloth, and instead of being buried is left by a vanishing preacher out in the sun to rot. No?

Well, maybe there should have been more author-induced plotting going on.

Ant-tastic responds:

This movie is supposed to make you think a little MasterKetchup. Though, I guess that at a whopping total of one minute, there is an awful lot to think about here isn't there? I'm sorry that I asked your cerebral slop to get in gear and think for once.
