Reviews for "Operation Flashpoint Mini"

.......

Pretty simple game if you ask me...and I mean very simple. Unfortunately, not in a good way. I was thinkin the game was gonna be somethin like Phobia (gamehippo) but it wasn't. Just click, cilck, and more clicking. I"ve see it many many times before. I think this should've gotten blammed but the score is high so I'm not gonna hate on you. 1 thumb up t('.')

Its not the best.....

but its not the worst game like this that I've seen and it got boring fast. I didnt like the fact that you made America the enemy but that didnt effect the score I gave you.

Overall, it was a good game.

But the Americans ambushed and killed his squad, he is fighting to escape. Also it doesn't matter who you are shooting at as long as it isn't somebody undeserving. Violence is fine in games, keep it out of the real world.

A fan of the game

Operation Flashpoint is a possum game indeed. This is a good add to it. Great work. Music sucked BTW

average shooter

not terribly interesting, maybe more action, different enemies etc.

Kind of easy, but I liked it.

I enjoyed this game. I liked the shooting gallery sort of thing. There isn't a whole lot to it, but I was having fun. I like games that involve surviving, and this did a good job of giving me that feeling.

However, I found that it wasn't much of a challenge. Point, shoot, occasionally reload... It was alright, but I would have liked some kind of system that made it more strategic. For instance, it might be more complicated, but if you intend to make an Operation Flashpoint Mini 2.0, you could make reloading take longer, but you'd take cover behind something while you did... While that was happening, enemies would creep up on your position (Hopefully while you weren't reloading, you wouldn't LET them) so it's in your best interests to use ammo wisely. And make the enemies a bit trickier, like if they get close enough, they throw grenades, or maybe have hidden snipers come out, and all you see is the laser from their rifle scanning for you. All of this would be more difficult to pull off, but it would make the game better without making it insanely hard. Even if the enemies fired faster, it would be cool (I didn't get shot once, and I even had time to adjust the volume on my taskbar). Another thing I'd like to see would be an accuracy score at the end of the game. That would be cool. It would give the game an extra niche and warrant replayability.

Just some ideas :) But as I said, I did enjoy the game, but I would have liked more challenge. I give you a 4, I think this should be protected.

Jarf responds:

You've obviously never coded a game before. This was my first attempt.
