Not the first of these games I've seen. But once you hit about 10K, you grow out of control. You litterally foll the screen at 30K.
Suggestion-- Do something about the points--have them tie into lives or something. Also, having a giant cat that is physically unable to dodge anything is not a good position.

Pretty good, but some bad bugs...
Such as, you need to make the hitboxes or whatever smaller, because I can be standing in front of a quark, and still get hit. Another bug I found (and was not enjoying) is if you get the Cat Shield On bonus, and you get an evil quark, you lose the Cat Shield although the timer hasn't run out, and is still on the screen, also, it might be better to put an on-screen life counter, because the one that pops up when you get hit isn't very easy to see.
