Reviews for "The Shadows of Loneliness"

EPIC

this whole thing sounds epic altogether. the piano is epic. i almost started crying when the strings came in. :) what you'd hear in a calm RPG or something. or a soundtrack. it's just great. keep it up and once again i'm inspired.

The Shadow of Loneliness

A splendid piece, very enjoyable. I listened to this piece with the youtube video. So I saw most of the images. Before I review the music, let me just make a couple points:
I wished I hadn't viewed the images because they distracted me to make a purely musical review. There were some really cool pictures and I just like it too much lol.
The song is so long. I understand that there is a story, which is good. Being a man fascinated and extremely critical of stories and literature, again this review may be tainted. A good story is hard to come by these days eh?
So here comes my weird biased review. This song begins steadily and it seems very dark. Dark but the sounds are very light at the same time. I am instantly drawn to the song at this point. The beautiful yet lonely voice of the piano vibrates through the story, picking up velocity and power. The pace at which the song is moving at this point halts, giving me time to reflect on what had just happened, but not much time as it picks back up again quickly. The voice changes as I believe the point of view has changed in the story, the music creates the effect. Slowly the loneliness returns shortly a brief moment of serenity and calmness. The loneliness does not take over, it is merely accepted.
Truly beautiful piece! Like I said, a good story is not easily found these days, and if you are composing to a good story you are distracted from the music because of the story. I believe this song could tell a good story... I wish you the best.

Jabicho responds:

That's so cool! thanks for watching the video too! I'm glad you liked the images =) hehe yeah another friend also told me the images can interfere in the melody =P Thanks for the amazing review I love reading it, thanks for all the support my friend!

Totally...

Awesome as usual, but yeah, you definitely achieved more of the depressive than the angry feeling in this piece.

But just an all around awesome piece.

One of the few songs that was actually worth listening to all 7 minutes and 26 seconds of, most songs that long tend to be very repetitive and dull.

GREAT JOB

Jabicho responds:

Thanks! Yeah, I'm gonna work hard on angry tunes now =P I'm sure I'll find a good melody in the future. Thanks for the amazing words they mean a lot!

Amazing

You did great on this piece! It fits very well with what I am imagining from what you wrote above, Good work! Keep it up!

Jabicho responds:

Thanks for that! Your support means a lot!

Spectacular !!!!!! O.O

This is a very well made piece of yours, it has the escence of the sadness culminated among the whole song, even though the fear is not that well presented as it should be, it still has the touch of fear within it

Gotta say, at the first part I really was feeling the scene of the murderer, I think it needed more power though, but still very good. And also the girl's eyes scene, I totally saw that scene while I heard it.

The second part, here I felt the fear of the song, I couldn't feel the running till the melody started speeding its tempo up, very well :D

The third part is just beautiful, well made, I felt myself seeing what that little girl was seeing and thinking what the little girl was thinking, that part culminates the sadness in the song :P

And at last, the fourth part felt like all the bad stuff ocurring were passing unsolved as the song was playing again one of the starting melodys, it was a
feeling of sadness almost saying the those girls don't have saving... Very sad...

As I was saying, this is a very well made piece, it really does give the feelings you were wanting it to, and it is way too good to be your first try in goth :P

Wonderful, beautiful and spectacular, keep on doing what your good at xD

Jabicho responds:

Thanks for that man, I'm glad it gets the feelings transmited =P Hehe yeah, first goth piece, I'm glad it turned out good, thanks so much for the support! =D
