Wonderful little game makes light of a tragedy
Read the summary above, silly.
Now, anyways.
To all of you moaning and groaning, you belong in medieval times. Go there, now! Don't question me! BUILD A FREAKIN' TIME MACHINE AND GO THERE!!! NOW!!!!
Why? Well, in those days, 150 thousand were acceptable casualties... In fact, they were LIGHT casualties... The kinds rarely seen in the large-scale battles back then! An army with 150 thousand would be LAUGHED at!
Go there, maybe you'll start to realize how many more people there are in the world now, compared to then. There are roughly 6 billion...
Let's look at that number a bit better...
6 billion...
6,000 million...
6,000,000 thousand...
6,000,000,000
compared to...
150 thousand
150,000
So, what... That's 5,999,850,000? Yeah, I know it sounds heartless, and it is. I am not happy that these people died. Why? It could have been prevented! No, not the tsunami... That would have happened... But think for a little bit... We have tsunami warning stations set up everywhere, or almost everywhere, else... But the one place one came from, had no warning station...
I'd bet you because the countries in the area had no money, or interest, in buying or building one or the staff to monitor and manage it.
Stop crying for the dead and start yelling at the governments that don't prevent these deaths. Maybe they'll listen one day.
