Reviews for "Madness Xmas Special 2"

It was alright

It was ok but compared to other madness's it kinda sucked. The kills were fine but at the end it was pretty stupid with all the elves standing there without trying to defend themselves also a bit too short.

Better

Better than the first one you did but still not even close to the greatness of the original series.

Been there...

...done that. A million times before. Neither is the mass slaughter in this movie halfway intelligently framed ("Boo-hoo, I didn't get my pie, let's go kill Santa"), nor is there anything at least slightly original to this Madness V.1,000,000,000.1. Talking about this being "more satisfying than stick figure violence", as the last reviewer (Mr_Gray) put it, is entirely besides the point. For sake of comparison, consider the following: ill_will_press goes using the same script/idea all over again and people eventually start complaining about the lack of renewal, freshness aso. in his submissions. But Madness is cool, no matter how stale the script, how inaptly lame the violence has become - people are like "W00t! This is so kewl.". Is it because mindless butchery is in no need of artistic development beyond the mere crudeness of killing? Dress the victims in Christmas costumes, and - kaboom - there you have it: another action-packed winner in the portal. What's going to be next: Madness killing off the Easter Bunny, the Virgin Mary and Mickey Mouse? To my mind, this movie is a brilliant example of how the destructive impulse of artistic depictions of violence ultimately goes to undermine and render itself absurd, when there is no story be told with the depiction itself. There is no progression to trace in the artwork, and to call this entertaining after having watched other Madness-episodes is an exaggeration at best. This is not TOP-50 material, but a display of faltering artistic creativity. Everybody who ranked this high, but voted low on "The Battle for the North Pole" seriously needs to check him/herself. Happy holidays to all of you.

Good for a short flick.

Although the resolution was surprisingly low, it was pretty good, but didn't stand up to the goodness of the real Madness Combat series. It was something different, but still done similar to the originals which I thought you did well.

irr it was sorta good...

im sorry but it was to fast mabie you need to make it slower and the ending wasint al lthat good i likethe link to the plot of the real madness...
