Reviews for "ELEPHANT: episode 1"

Don't listen to them.

Indeed the graphics were beautiful, but along with that, there was an awesome subliminal metaphorism to it, the storyline could only make sense to somebody who can read between the lines, or maybe I'm just seeing something in it you didn't even intend? Either way, definately front page material.

FREELENS responds:

yes, I've been to the elephant graveyard.

no need to explain

it was just plain random and funny

Quintessential

Superb animated renderings. The elephant trucks delivering stock for billiard [sp?] balls was immediately recognizable as an Empire's Distribution Method. Also, the color of the trucks invoked to me the idea of Colonialism, which is an interesting juxtaposition to Recreation, especially British Recreation. One human form put the whole system into jeopardy even though countless animals' deaths remained meaningless; unequivocable moment, ironically. Thanks for the film, truly an enjoyment.
