Better than some full-length movies!
I just watched all the episodes, and they are simply amazing. It's got a great storyline (the idea of giant invading robots actually doesn't seem cliche) with a nice sense of mystery. The art style is unique, and the amount of detail really pays off. The one flaw here is differences in light tend to be overdone.
What I like most is that this series goes out of its way to be believable. The characters seem like real people, not just a drawing with two or three character traits. The excellent voices play a big role in this. The fights also seem realistic, and since avoided using an overpowered hero who can destroy enemies by the dozen, there's a genuine sense of tension you don't often find. There's a few exceptions in the first fight with Tinker's robots (chapter 2, I think?), but the battles just get better from there.
The one thing I don't like about this is the villian. He just seems way too overdone. His voice, his clothes, his name...it's just too heavy.
One question: why post only some chapters on Newgrounds?
