Reviews for "Animation Tutorial 4 FX"

that was helpful

it was a little confusing though and u could be a little more specific.

Erm

I still haven't seen a tutorial that itself has good graphics and animation. God i hate tutorials. Ok submission

Water needs fixed.

I like this. Nicely laid out. Good to see you educating potential animators, you've got good looking effects here, apart from your water reflections. They don't look real at all. When you get a perfect reflection like that, the water is still, so the reflection isn't going to be shorter than the object or skewed to the side like that. Reflections aren't like things painted on the ground, they won't take on the orientation of the reflective surface. For your tutorial, for the most relastic look "Blue" should be merely flipped vertically, no transforming is needed. Find some photos (use Google if necessary) that show reflections on still lakes and the like.

Pretty cool.

Nice tutorial on making special effects. I'll watch some of your others one day.

Very good tutorials.

Some really good advice in these.

Personally, I think it'd be nice for NG to have a specific section for tutorials such as these.

JackSmack responds:

Ya I wish there was one. Would hate to see these buried under a bunch of stuff so no one knew they were here... But that is up to everyone here to make happen.

If you want a specific place for tutorials on newgrounds Please say something about it in the forums and don't let things like this go into the abyss that so many great movies fall into.

Now I'm not trying to start a movement or anything... but it would be nice to have a tutorial section that could be linked to from the help page.

Anyone who agrees... You guys start the movement!
