Reviews for "The Mad Scientist"

Good...Except...

After the huge build-up you did for the fight, I expected it to last longer. That's my only complaint, really.

Anticlimax...

I know, I know. The ending was supposed to be a surprise and unusual... but admit it; it WAS an anticlimax. Besides; random bloke with sword. Bah. Don't we get enough of those on Newgrounds? An angry mob with torches, that's the way to bring down a mad scientist! Additionally (though time consuming) the flames animated in chalkboard style would have looked spectacular.
The animation style I loved, it was new and beautifully handmade, and synchronised perfectly with the musical score. That also was perfect for the backdrop, and an inegral part of the piece; I can find no argument with the choice of music per se. Unfortunately it was beginning to grate on me towards the end... It's just not my cuppa. All in all, I enjoyed that.

P.S. "the fight scenes: awesome! slow mo always makes a fight scene look amazing"
ANIMATORS! Ignore comments like these! They come from a smelly minority with no appreciation for the finer things! 'bullet time' alone does not guarantee a good fight scene!

Afro-Ninja responds:

Dude, it originally WAS going to be an angry mob. But I would have never gotten it done : (

Good!

Very nice! Splendid work you did on the animation according to the music! Keep working!

Like the cute corner toggle thing!

I was just about to switch off when the good music started up! PERFECT SYNC! Right from then it was awesome!

This was a great cartoon! I admit that it didn't seem to have much to do with scientists. I mean yeah, there were chemicals and stuff. There just wasn't much of a laboratory. I do love the music, though. The best thing about it is probably the animation.

I didn't know it would be so good! I guess I'm just not used to seeing your art style. You should submit more stuff recently. It was so nicely paced. I'm surprised you had scene select for something relatively short.
