Reviews for "The Temple Of Time"

Woah....

Doesn't this song make you sit there and you eventually find yourself just sitting there listening to the song and thinking about nothing else? Simply amazing

The best song remix that I've ever seen

The biggest problem with at least 90% of all people who decide to remix a song, Legend of Zelda songs being no exception, is that they take the song and completely turn it into something other than that what made it such a well-known-and-loved song. I have been looking through the Audio Portal for the past few days at several different remixes, and almost every time I listened to a song, I found myself asking "Where is the flow?" or "Where are the elements of the song that I loved? I hear all of the new and creative stuff that the author is doing, but where is the style of the old song? Is any of it left at all?" For example, Gerudo Valley. That song was made very famous for its upbeat Spanish style. It even had the instruments commonly used by a mariachi band: guitars, trumpets, and percussion that sounds somewhat like a shaker and either hand clapping or castanets, I'm not sure which. Half of the remixes of the song that I've ever heard have always been rock, or techno, or death metal, and I've always been annoyed at how the song that I love is gone. And once again, it is almost always the same thing with at least 90% of the remix artists, maybe even more than that!

You, my friend, are the creator of the most glorious exception that I have ever heard in my life. You not only kept the original style of Gregorian Chant that is the Song of Time, you went even further and expanded on it, creating what does not sound like synthetic voices, as did the original version, but what sounds like a real male Gregorian choir singing in a grand Cathedral at Mass! It is incredible!

My only note that you might consider is the text. I love your idea of having it in Latin, just like in that of a traditional Gregorian Chant, and the English translation is very creative. However, at any given time in the song, the one part that sings the text is overwhelmed by the rest of the choir. In only one small two-second phrase am I able to hear text being sung at all. You might want to work on adjusting that a little bit in the future, if you want to.

I have never encountered any remix that gives more justice to the original song than this one here. Bravo! Bravo! And bravo do I say yet again! Keep up the very excellent work that you have done here! I am looking forward to your next remix!

Dear god...

This is epic beyond all other remixes of any song of the LoZ series I've heard. This WILL be used in the next game, I know it will. You have a 10 out of 10 in ever form I could possibly criticize this. Amazing...
5/5

you know what i noticed

notice that the temple of time in Oot looks just like a church?
and that this sounds alot like church music?

XD

I...

I...cried. It's...just so beyond words the feeling I got just listening to this. Powerful. Just so powerful.
