A good first attempt, but lots missing

There are only two units available here, and one of them is useless. The water bucket kills every soldier it touches, making them utterly worthless. Archers are only killed one at a time, meaning a mass of them makes the game an easy win. More units would be nice, but there needs to be a reason to use all of them. Health bars for your units would be annoying, but that doesn't mean they can't have an invisible supply of HP (I hope). The defending castle needs more ways to kill your units (this could perhaps be a justification for using a variety of units). It would be nice if units and unit upgrades were permanent from mission to mission, too. Overall a nice idea that could be a great game, but a lot of work is needed.

It's too easy

You just buy archers and upgrade them and you win instantly. this game is way too easy. infantry is pointless. Like the person said before me make the infantries harder to kill and they die of water.

Can be a great game with improvements

alright, i played it for 10 stages and found it repetitive after that, here's some suggestions IMHO to make the game better:

1) As mention by sum1 b4, the boiling water screws up the game, there's no point in hiring infantry if the water kills all of them at once, i cant even beat the 1st stage with infantry, i had to use archers. the water is a good idea but try to make it kill smaller groups, like 3 in the beginning den mayb 6 and increasing in later stages (draw bigger cauldrons? =P)

2) There's a bug with the game, several times i destroyed the castle i ended up losing the game. i downed the castle with 30 archers upgraded 12 times, u gotta fix that, its not fun to lose wen u win

3)The graphics needs improvement, i don mean extremely well drawn, but at least decent enuff, currently it looks like kindergarden standard, no offence meant =)

4) perhaps u could make the upgrades upgrade not only dmg, but increase the dmg needed to kill ur units and speed as well

5) For sounds, maybe u can do it this way: if a certain type of unit is deployed on screen, as a whole make the weapon sound play perhaps once every 2-3 seconds, if all that type of unit dies den the sound stops. maybe this way will be less taxing den to play 1 sound per movement for every unit on screen.

6) Enemy's castle has to change its outlook, say every 5 levels, and maybe add more obstructions, like ditches, more arrows shooting at later stages, cannons, stakes. But again, if u'r gonna add these improvements to the enemy, den upgrades for the player are ever more impt, as mentioned above.

7) Add a shop where u can buy global upgrades for ur units, like armor to make them tougher, potions to increase speed, or a potion to make the agile such that it is possible to make the enemy miss them, and even invulnerability spells for like 3-5 secs.

That's all for now, but a word of caution, with all these upgrades and diversity (im not sure if its possible to do without going over the allowable file size) alot of gameplay balancing is needed, esp in later stages where both side may get extremely powerful. Do hope to see a version 2 of ur game ^_^
