Reviews for "Memory: Deleted Scene"

why wasnt this in the movie?

no flash is ''too long'' yaw

Xenosteel responds:

oh but I was serious, it passed the 16000 frames limit! there's an article about that on Macromedia's website

thanks for the review though !

incredible

its hard to find emotion powered movies here. your film is the gold needle in the haystack.

Graphics:
Excellent animation and drawing, need i say more?

Style:
A storyline. Thank god. Original, clever, and above all, powerfull. Starts with fear and sorrow, then leads to something different. particularily in the deleted scene.

Sound:
Voice acting was beyond superb. Music fit in very well. Sound FX were also great.

Violence:
Bloody Saw, anything else?

Interactivity:
Deleted Scenes!!!!!!

Humor:
None

There you have it! overall, a 10. Keep up the good work.

it was excellent

i just have to say that the animation and the sound made this flash excellent

I really felt this what touching me in some way.

Wow, like Memory I really dont know where to start on this! I feel this was also excellent and it was amazing how bold a message you could contain in such a short little scene, though I can understand why this is actually a deleted scene and you didnt add it into the actual movie - It is basicly just a wrap -up of the message you were sending out to the audience here, and I feel the actual flash combines all of the content up beautifully anyway :)
I am glad you did not add this because it would have meant you were repeateing what you already sent out, and the audience would get fed up; that is why I really admire Memory, as you managed to make it so powerful and at the same time it didnt drag on, this is one of the rare skills I see on the NG and I would like to see it more - especially from you!
Again you made a contrast of the good and the bad, using cartoons for the happy light world which is the one of the main elements that made memory so creepy as you are almost MISLEADING the watchers into the good world which is why they do not expect the chilling message to come. This wouldn't have made sense if I had not watched Memory, but if you did i feel it would be nothing more than an extra treat and a chance to see a little extra of your touching work in action nd really going beyond hat powerful message. In both Memory and the deleted scene you really manage to pull out the pure contrast between sadness and happyness in not only a successfull way, but also in the most original one I have yet seen, this is overall why I felt this was really something I could connect to because you are not only conveying the two contrasts in the characters situation, but also if you really think deep down, some of the audience could relate to this - it is a common day fact that we have all been through the comparison of sad and happy which is why both this and memory manage to capture it in such a bold and beautiful way.
Once again the graphcis were not excellent but if you have spent hours (maybe days?) producing the perfect flash you can literally reach out and 'touch' the watcher with, why would this be important? I also like the text on screen and the way you told the story because it provided a somewhat comforting atmosphere to me whilst in the cartoon world, before plunging back into the terrifying world of sadness. Sounds did an excellent job at whipping up a chilling storm once again but it was looking at the actual images of confusion that realy made me grip tight in my seat throughout.
Another reason why I think this is so interesting is because I feel you, maybe even without knowing it, create a kind of chilling situation that could link to every day life (e.g such as the contrast between sadness and joy) which is what emotionally grabs us all. I think you should not only continue memory as a series, but maybe each one tackle a simple but emotionally unstable every day life situation? This is just a suggestion but I think that maybe you would really go beyond if you tackled the situation of appearance and reality? Such as happy misleading looking things that turn into such horrific and unknown images when you really look into it. I find the whole issue of appearance and reality so terrifying because it is the most misleading, which is why I thought of suggesting that when I watched this.
All in all, unsurprisngly terrific work once again and I hope you found this review helpful. I await any more 'Memory's you have to come because I would really love to see more of that touching work that captivated me so beautifully, and boldly :)

Truly Amazing

The deleted scene is almost a movie in itself but the complement each other so well. I lovedthe sound the visuals and the concept. Great work.
