Nice enough...
But theres a few glitches around. You can go out of the screen so the player cant see the ship (badbad), and suddenly the music stopped and i couldnt shoot anymore.
And, yea, you might want more lives, and enemy ships shooting back at you :)

theres simply not enough to do in this game. the graphics are average, and the gameplay was pretty bad. you really need to quicken up the firing rate, make more enemies, and more upgrades available.

the game was too slow, and the music faded out after about a minute...
Needs work before finalized.
The music, gameplay, basically everything needs work. The music cyclying is a bad effect, the ships move to slow, and you can travel way to far backwards, need to limit that, I went way off the screen to the point where it wasn't worth coming back. A lot of convincing will be needed for me to come play the final version.
This is not Galaga.
Please, if you are going to remake such a great game as Galaga, use the classic viewpoint, enemy patterns, and sounds. You have a decent engine started, but you would be much better off just making your own player/enemy sprites and giving it an original name. It seems like the only reason you call this Galaga is because you couldn't to make your own sprites.
