Very good, you have improved the upgrades and weapons problem with the first and there are newer enemies. The time limit thing was interesting too. Still need to get rid of that loop. But Ok.

It was okay....
I agree with everything else most of these other reviewers have been saying, but the only issue i have is, how do you block the spiders from shooting the globs of web at you? is that blockable at all? When you try to shoot the spiders the corpses of the recently killed worms get in the way.
But good otherwise...

I played this bcause I just came from the original...
It's better in some ways - the fact that you have unlimited ammunition is a plus and a minus... it's kind of a minus because it takes some of the strategy out of it - but it's a plus because there are just soooo many more zombies.
The sword in this one was developed better - the ability to use the Machine Pistol in one hand and the sword at the same time was good, and it was made balanced by the fact the sword had a delay time on it.
The rifle bothered me though - I didn't see any real difference between it and the SMG, but I didn't use it much so maybe I missed what the difference is - except you can't use the sword.
And don't worry about not having the boss - the game is definatly fun enough as it is, and you wouldn't be the first to split a game into two parts. ;)
