Congradulations, this is an amazing flash. One of the things i loved most about it was the choice of music. People rarely use classical music as flash soundtrack but in this case it worked perfectly. It suits the atmosphere, which is very powerful and seems to echoe 2001: a space odessy in some ways and not just musically either. I couldn't help but feel for main character, this shy, homely, lonely little man whos existence is nothing but endless repitition. You can see his incredible loneliness, illustrated at first by how pointless his life seems, and then when he touches that blonde woman's face. But everyone has their place no matter how trivial it seems and by the end of it, the little man found his. One of the things i thought was greatest about this flash was that without using a single word, you created an environment, developed a character, and conveyed a message in a truely artistic way. Amazing stuff, keep it up.

Wonderful.

I must say, bravo! This piece was quite impressive. It was touching, and well thought out. The metaphorical meaning behind it was beautiful, and the actual presentation was well done. Newgrounds has too few pieces like this. Excellent job.

I wonder what on earth that factory manufactures..

Very nifty-looking preloader, I must say.

INDUSTRY IS SACRIFICE. PRODUCTIVITY IS UP. STRIVE FOR EFFICENCY. RACQUET BALL 5 PM.

hahahha. Great little touches like those MAKE this movie. So anyway... this guy sees a movie after work, eats his bland food in front of his Felix the Cat clock... watches propaganda + V8 commercials on the tube... a night of sleep-sleep and then it's off to work again.

And the only variance in his days seems to be whether he sleeps upside down in his bed or not.

And then... boom. The record stops. Time seems to freeze. The fact that the first thing he does is try to push along the product on the belt... is quite telling. And fascinating.

And then, his trip to the lobby. It kinda felt like an airport in some ways, really. Interesting to see what his repressed brain thinks of doing. Such as touching a woman's face and all. But he falls asleep on the floor? That had me wondering what the heck just went on during the "DAY 8" title fadeout.

And then it's off into the oblivion to take his spot in the Central Office of Time. So... I dunno if this was some sort of temporal test that is applied to find new... "applicants" for the job of manning said office or what, but it was quite the vibrant flash, image-wise... with some good music... and some excellent framing/"camera"work... The wild clock atop the Central Office of Time was the best part of all, though...

Greatness! You've created quite the wonderful visual science fiction short story here, essentially. And it evokes memories of similarly themed stories by Asimov or Bradbury. You rock, Josef! Congrats on the daily third, though I feel this deserved one or two slots higher for 9/22/2004. :::applauds:::
