Reviews for "M&M's Chicken Chase!"

Kewl

One thing I noticed though, even when I sucessfully managed to jump the holes/lumps (?) you still managed to lose life?

Old-Tobunshi responds:

Rocks.

Erk

This game hurts my brain. though I love the mario 2 gameboy music, adds a good touch, This is crazy :S

Where's my M&Ms? I want peanut flavour..

Not too bad, could have done with a few more obstacles or changes in scenery.

The music was pretty good though.

Old-Tobunshi responds:

Read the SMALL PRINT on the title screen.

not too bad

i enjoyed playing, but you need to work on one or two things.
the gameplay was good, and you shouldnt change any of that, but the graphics need improvement. the looping background got a bit annoying, and seeing that there were only 4 objects in the whole game, you should have spent a bit more time making them look good. example: more frames for the cats running action, i think there was only 3 or 4!
also, i think that the sprites had been zoomed in too far, they were heavily pixelated.
overall, not a bad game. although quite simple, it was a good concept.
score before getting bored: 69
overall score: 4.5/10
(THE THUMB: slightly down)

Old-Tobunshi responds:

(THE THUMB: Up your ass)
Thanks for reviewing though!

Wellll.....

After a score of over 350 I finally discovered there was no end to this game (I catch on pretty slow sometimes, *sigh*)....not only was there not to be an ending, there was no skill advance in it, so I guess I could have easily sat entranced by the poorly drawn cat, looping background, pixellated chickens and gameboy music for a year or two without dying (or accomplishing anything).

The game has perspective enjoyment ability, despite the poor graphic workmanship, though. Might I suggest:

An ending or at least a leveling up after so many points / difficulty increase. ;)

Oh yes, after I got bored I tried to end it all by forcing the cat face first into the next 3 rocks that come along, and while doing so, I found a glitch...if you keep the cat to the far right of the screen and continue pushing right, chickens show up, but the rock never does. So essentially, anyone can score a bazillion points and never lose a life, (and possibly not even have to sit by the computer as long as they have a stratigically placed heavy object on the right arrow button). That glitch sort of makes the prospect of a high score table useless.

Good glame though, just needs some screws tightened.

Respect,

Val

It's just a mini-game for a friend's website. And dude, you have too much time on your hands to have reviews with PARAGRAPHS..Thanks for writing though!
