Not bad
At first i thought it was a mix of a spider and a cthulu, but I saw the angle.
I like the atmosphere the piece gives of, andI do like the details, where they can be found. The entire piece does seem a bit too messy though, and I really believe it could do with some cleaning up, smoothing it out, as it's hard to se any detail at all around the body of the spider. The hairs on the legs and the details on the rocks are a nice addition.

..I'm not saying I could do it, I'm just saying, I don't have the capacity to concentrate that long.
Anyways, nice done, I love the people running away, at first I thought it was just some spider. The mountains look kinda strange, like..chains/aquatic movement. The mist + the lighting is nicely done.
Summing what I said above, I love it.

Awesome...
2 hours? All I can do in that time is make an animated pile of poop. Flopping up, and down.... Wow, it looks so real, and that spider? Scares the living crap outta me! In other words, 10/10!
