Reviews for "Alive"

Seperated as individuals, connected by fate.

Very impressive flash. It seemed the backgrounds for this flash was all hand drawned. Also, you placed a great detail in every object. That really captured the colors.

The Music fitted well into this. I just love these types of music. Very solemn and ambient.

As many has mentioned, this movie captures emotions exceptionally well. Watching this I can see traces of anxiety, depression, fear, joy, hope, contempt, determination, and free-spirited. (Not in particular order of the scenes!)

Taking a look at your ending sequence of the elcipse (or the end of the world?), I see that each one of us, are all embodied to Life as individuals. That message was clear and inspiring. And as you putted "An animation as diverse as life itself." That is very true in this sense. Excellent Work.

AloneInTheDark responds:

Finally, a personal intrepretation. Yes you are very right and see what i intended to show. The message is very simple. 'You are not alone on this planet'. There are many other things that u can notice and think about and i wont spoil it all yet.

Pretty good... needs a little work

Stylistically, it was golden, man. You got across exactly what you needed to. There were some flaws in your animation that kinda broke through the acceptable line, detaching me from the movie at points. The head of the muscular boxing man wasn't attached at all to his body. The darkness (eclipse?) went past the Earth and made some shadow on Space... which I'm guessing shouldn't have happened...

Kudos for putting anything down in "Audio" on the info section, but don't put down "T.N," man. I know that it's Thomas Newman, but not everyone does.

Also, why is this guy giving a bad review to something he has a poster of on his wall? I think that's intentional, but it confused me.

Overall, great job.

AloneInTheDark responds:

Damn man, u are the most aware viewer of an animation i ever seen. The reviewing scene was just supposed to be a short joke and i never even would have thought people would read the words on the captured screen. And u are also right about the flaws, i noticed them while making, but i found them acceptable. The reason i didnt create stars in the final earth scene was because it would have been to complicated for me to animate. Because the stars would shine just as bright while the earth was getting darker.... I couldnt figure out how to do that. Neway, thanks man and take care!

cool...

...i guess, i gave it a 3, dont know what the point is

AloneInTheDark responds:

Thats ok, thanks!

Just great....

you are one of the best artists i have ever seen.
This really was an interesting movie showing what happens in the world and stuff (to tell you the truth it brang a tear to my eye). And dont listen to those pathetic morons who say this movie sucks cause they prolly are 11 year olds or are just stupid.

p.s. i can never give a perfect score. (the last ones i gave were when i was younger)

-Have a nice day,

AloneInTheDark responds:

Thank u alot. I know what u mean, I myself also rarely give a perfect score for a flash. And have a nice day too!

Wow.

Man,that does show alot of meaning. Its like one of those things where it doesn't tell you it all but its like you know what it means, you know?

AloneInTheDark responds:

I know what u mean pal. That was actually the goal for this movie.
