Reviews for "The Abandoned Kitten"

What was the point?

It was just some poorly drawn kitten with some sad text and music?

DAIRYDOG responds:

IT'S A SAD AND TOUCHING TRUE STORY, ASSHOLE.

Lemme break it down...

Graphics= Not much. Just a picture of a cat that slowly zooms out. Sentences fade in and out, as well.

Sound= A "sad" song playing in the background, no voice overs or sound effects.

Interactivity= A play/replay button.

Style= I really don't know what to put for this. The whole cartoon was just empty. It had only one picture that slowly zoomed out.

Violence= Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Humor= Once again, nothing.

Overall= A poorly done sappy cartoon. Nothing happens, the messages say the cat got left there, and that it's sad. I assume this cartoon's message is that abandoning animals is bad, in which case it's still just not good at all. With no graphics it has nothing to offer compared to other similar movies. Though I do not condone abandoning small kitties at the side of the road, there is certainly a better way to express the wrongness of it than this movie.

waste of time

i wasted a minute watching this...

Needs more...

I can easily see where you're going with this animation, but I definitely think you need more in it. After all, it consists on one cartoony kitten on a sidewalk, and the camera zooming out with some text telling the story. Nothing more visually.
The text helps in the 'sad and touching' aspect of it, but you need more than that.

There's a movie out there called 'Inu no Eiga' with a very sad scene about a dog named Marimo that I believe is directly related to what you're trying to accomplish.
Here is the scene on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22fSsp ZCA-c

So if you provide different scenes, perhaps from the past of happier times, or of the present showing miserable times, it would help out the animation.

I hope this helps. :)

Touching

It's really sad, and makes you feel bad for the kitty, but it's just one picture zooming out constantly, with words written over it a few times, and music. It's not really all that amazing. Sorry to be such a jerk.
