Reviews for "Bloody Dragon"

Wow...

Pretty good, liked the scale texture a lot!!! Nice job!

thomahawk responds:

Thanks Bull. The textures are standard photoshop textures. The brushes are custom brushes I made by photographing black ink on white paper.

The texturing is really good! Your brushes are nice. Nice work on the shadows, and especially the segments of the horns!
Dawg. You got the king of the madness (Krinkels!!1!1!) to write you a review. Feel honoured!

gotta say pretty well done

you said in photoshop. not bad at all for something thats meant to take things and alter not create. it kinda stands out weird but when you look at it right it looks like its supposed to do that, and when you do...damn thats one fine ass dragon. DO ANOTHER!! XD

thomahawk responds:

Wow thanks :) The painting options in the photoshop keep getting better and better. Pressure sensitivity using a tablet is super helpful. And I think I'll make another dragon soon. Thanks for the support!

Almost perfect!

Unlike some other people, I noticed how the "blood" doesn't really look like blood. It looks like markings. I mean, while a bloody-headed dragon is cool, the blood wouldn't spurt into small areas all over the face. It would more so cover the entire jaw area (almost) and maybe have some dripping, as long as it looks thick. Other than the actual placement, it's a great picture!

thomahawk responds:

''Damn you bloody dragon!'' ''stop eating the villagers!'' If you look at it like that, it's a bloody dragon. I think you are right. They look more like markings. I think I'll make the blood les saturated and darker next time, and add some details. Thanks for the honest review.

Pretty nice but some color choices feel off

The design of the dragon head looks Godzilla 1998 inspired and it does look cool overall. But you should work on your blood it looks like he flew through a paint factory. Also the tongue should be a darker shade of blue unless his tongue is suppose to be shiny for composition purposes.

I think it would be more effective if you added some stylized white colors to the background. It would retain the mood where as other colors like pink and orange wouldn't. And your dragon wouldn't feel as though he blends into the background.
